TIPSTER is a Reinvention Laboratory Project TIPSTER Hammered Vice President Albert Gore presented the National Performance Review Hammer Award to the TIPSTER Text Program in recognition of its contributions to reinventing Government. In his remarks, the Vice President lauded the Intelligence Community partnering with the private sector and leading universities. He stressed the importance of the TIPSTER effort to "solve one of the most challenging problems of the information age" -- how to find the information we need in the piles of text we see every day.
